An Angel for Angel

Last week a friend of mine messaged me to ask if I could possibly make a sock monkey for a young girl who had recently been diagnosed with a brain tumour. Angel is just 11 and her tumour is one that cannot be operated on. One option open to her is to have Proton therapy in America which will be NHS funded. Explaining about the Proton treatment would be too lengthy so here's a link which explains it in detail. This therapy will be coming to the UK but not for another 4 years.
Together with my daughter Lucia we made Angel her sock monkey in the style of.......an Angel :)
Here she is and she's already with her new owner awaiting her adventure. All the very best of luck Angel. We wish you well on your journey x

Here's a link to a little video Angel made and her blog if anyone wants to follow her progress.

I love being crafty

I love to learn new things and have in recent years taught myself to crochet and am learning about photography. I thought it would be nice to have a different blog from my main one solely to post anything related to my hobbies and crafts so Netty's Crafty Digits was born. Here's to future creativity :)
